Joseph Abutu, was amazed to find out on the first dawn mass that the Church was almost full.\u00a0 This went on for nine mornings and finally Fr. Joseph realised the faith of the Filipinos.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>In December 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic was raging, the kind-hearted priest revisited the \u2018whispers\u2019 amongst the Cebuanos about the novena to the Holy Child known as the <em>Sr. Sto. Ni\u00f1o<\/em>.\u00a0 Those \u2018whispers\u2019 gathered momentum and eventually reached \u2018fever pitch\u2019 after the conclusion of <em>Simbang Gabi <\/em>masses in December 2020.\u00a0 Finally, January 2021 was the first time <em>Sinulog <\/em>would be danced through the masses for the Holy Child, <em>Sr. Sto.
